CARE PROTOCOL
To maintain the structural integrity of your WIGZ LAB HD LACE™ and preserve the natural movement, luster, and health of our 100% PURE-VIRGIN HUMAN HAIR™, adhere strictly to the following technical care protocol.
01. CLEANSING & HYDRATION
Frequency: Cleanse your hair system every 2 to 3 weeks, or as needed depending on product accumulation and wear frequency.
Formulas: Use exclusively sulfate-free, paraben-free moisturizing shampoos and rich, hydrating conditioners designed for high-grade human hair.
Technique: Wash under lukewarm running water in a gentle, downward motion from cap to ends. Never rub, twist, or bunch the hair during washing to prevent cuticular friction and tangling.
02. HD LACE™ PRESERVATION
Membrane Care: WIGZ LAB HD LACE™ is an ultra-thin, delicate membrane engineered for a seamless skin-melt effect. Handle the lace perimeter with minimal tension at all times.
Residue Removal: If adhesives, gels, or styling sprays are applied along the hairline, dissolve them completely with a lace-release solvent or warm water before lifting the unit. Never scratch or scrape the lace to remove product residue.
03. DETANGLING & DRYING
Brushing Technique: Always detangle hair gently starting from the tips and working incrementally upward toward the roots. Use a wide-tooth comb or a flexible paddle brush while supporting the base of the cap with your hand.
Drying: Gently blot excess moisture using a lint-free microfiber towel—never rub vigorously. Air drying on a open mannequin head or wig stand is required to maintain the cap's elasticity and shape.
04. THERMAL STYLING
Heat Protection: Always apply a weightless thermal protectant before using hot styling tools (straighteners, curling irons, blow dryers).
RECOMMENDED TEMPERATURE: Set styling tools to 180°C (350°F) for optimal daily maintenance and longevity.
MAXIMUM HEAT THRESHOLD: While 100% PURE-VIRGIN HUMAN HAIR™ is heat-resistant up to 220°C (430°F), prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures will dehydrate the fiber and compromise the cuticle structure over time.
05. NIGHTTIME & STORAGE
Glueless Removal: For daily glueless wearers, remove the system before sleeping and place it on a wig stand to preserve its structural shape.
Overnight Protection: If sleeping with your system installed, wrap the hairline with a silk or satin melt band and secure the hair in a loose braid covered by a silk bonnet. Never sleep with wet or damp hair.
06. TEXTURE-SPECIFIC MAINTENANCE
Curly & Textured Systems: Apply leave-in conditioners and curl-defining creams exclusively while hair is wet. Never brush or comb textured hair when dry to prevent frizz and fiber disruption.
Straight & Wavy Systems: Apply a single drop of weightless argan or jojoba oil to mid-lengths and ends only. Avoid heavy silicones that weigh down natural movement.
07. LACE INTEGRITY & SHEDDING PREVENTION
Conditioner Placement: Never apply conditioners, heavy oils, or masks directly onto the HD LACE™ grid or hand-tied knots. Emollients loosen the hand-knotted roots, causing premature shedding.
Prohibited Ingredients: Avoid products containing heavy alcohols, sulfates, or synthetic proteins which dehydrate 100% PURE-VIRGIN HUMAN HAIR™.
